When you start at Abbeyfield Sixth Form in September, you will notice that on your timetable you will have a lesson of enrichment. Enrichment is all about going past the subjects you have chosen to study and learning about things that will benefit, and enrich, your life.
The topics studied can range from travel to debating, from first aid to how to write a CV and so on. We’ve also had lots of guest speakers. Last year we had a parliamentary debate (just in time for the general election!), a talk from a holocaust survivor, local business owners, a careers workshop… the list goes on! You also get the opportunity to let us know what you want to learn!
With this in mind, please find attached some ideas for enriching activities during lockdown! It’s as important as ever for you to make sure you have a good balance in your life. This is as important as ever in the current climate. So why not stay open minded and engage in some of the tasks? You don’t need to do all of them but might want to engage in some. Many of the activities attached link to your subjects (Drama, Sociology, Media, Art, English Literature, Science, French etc.) but Abbeyfield Sixth Form is much more than this. We aim to offer you as many enrichment opportunities as possible. Here are just a few we can start with whilst we are temporarily apart.
All the best, Mrs Wawrzesta
