APPLICATIONS FOR YEAR 7 FROM SEPTEMBER 2027

  • New application deadline for September 2027 admissions: midnight on 31st October 2026.
  • National Offer Day: 2nd March 2027
  • Admissions arrangement for 26-27: Abbeyfield has 240 place available.

APPLICATIONS FOR AN IN YEAR PLACE

Parents and carers wishing to apply for a place at Abbeyfield School outside the normal admissions round can do so through our in-year admissions process. Full details of how applications are considered, including the information and supporting documentation required, are available in our admissions policy - found on our policy website.

An in-year application form can be downloaded from this website below, and paper copies are available on request for families who do not have access to the internet. Completed forms should be returned to the school office by post or email.

Applications will be processed in accordance with the School Admissions Code. Further information can be found in the Department for Education's School Admissions Code 2021, including paragraph 2.26 relating to in-year admissions:

APPEALS IN THE CASE OF NO OFFER

If you have applied for, but have been unsuccessful in obtaining a place for your child at our school, you have the right to appeal for a place.

    Your appeal will be heard within 30 school days of your Notice of Appeal Form (see below) being received. You will receive notice of the date of the appeal hearing at least 10 school days in advance.

All appeals for places at Abbeyfield School are completed by an independent panel and clerked by an Independant Admissions Appeal Clerk, Gary Wallis.
