Following our Open Evening on Thursday 13^th November, we welcome the opportunity to meet new applicants and show them round our facilities. All applicants will be invited for interview to discuss their course choices and tours can also be arranged. All applicants are considered equally, regardless of where they are enrolled for Year 11. We look forward to receiving all your applications.

Three key reminders for you –

1) To gain a place in Abbeyfield Sixth Form you must achieve five or more passes at a grade 5 or better. If taking a subject at GCSE, you will need a good passing grade to be able to pursue the course in sixth form, and many subjects have a requirement of at least a grade 6. Try to be realistic in your choices, while challenging yourself to achieve your best.

2) All students are expected to select 4 main subjects on your application. This allows you to keep your options open at this stage, and we will discuss your choices with you at an interview in February.

3) Please ensure that your choice of subjects are all in different blocks. If there is a problem with clashes of subjects you want to do, please ensure you make a note of this on your application. The course guide is available to look through if you’d like more information on any of the courses we offer.

Our online application link is available now! If you are interested in applying for Abbeyfield Sixth Form for a September 2026 start, please fill out the application form or email karen.collier@abbeyfieldschool.org.uk with your name and contact information, details of your current school and subjects, and what courses you are interested in studying. We will be in touch from there. All candidates who applied by the deadline will be invited for interview week beginning 12^th February 2026. External applicants will be invited to a separate welcome event.
