Ambition+ is our dedicated support platform for students eligible for the Pupil Premium Grant and targeted Free School Meals. Designed to provide personalised support, enrichment opportunities and practical assistance, Ambition+ helps ensure that every young person has the tools, confidence and opportunities needed to succeed both in school and beyond.

We recognise that barriers to achievement can take many forms. Through Ambition+, we work in partnership with students and families to provide targeted support that promotes attendance, engagement, wellbeing and academic success, while helping every child develop the ambition to achieve their very best.

Through Ambition+, students have access to targeted academic support designed to help them make strong progress and reach their full potential.

Support may include intervention sessions, revision resources, tutoring opportunities, study skills workshops and additional guidance from staff.

Why is this important? Some students may require additional support to build confidence, close gaps in learning or develop effective study habits. By providing tailored academic assistance, we ensure that every student has the opportunity to achieve highly and progress successfully to their next stage of education, employment or training.

 

 

Pastoral Support

Positive relationships and a strong sense of belonging are at the heart of successful learning. Ambition+ provides enhanced pastoral support through regular check-ins, mentoring and access to trusted adults within the school community.

Why is this important? Students thrive when they feel safe, supported and understood. Pastoral support helps young people overcome challenges, build resilience and maintain positive attitudes towards school, ensuring they can focus on learning and personal development.

 

Engagement Coaching

Our Engagement Coaching programme works directly with students to develop motivation, self-belief, attendance and positive learning behaviours.

Students receive personalised guidance to set goals, celebrate successes and overcome barriers that may affect their engagement with school life.

Why is this important? Regular attendance, positive engagement and strong learning habits are among the greatest predictors of success. Engagement Coaching helps students develop the confidence, determination and ambition needed to make the most of every opportunity available to them.

Parental Support

Parents and carers play a vital role in a child's education. Ambition+ provides a range of parental support opportunities, including workshops, information sessions, guidance resources and regular communication from the school.

Uniform and Resources Support

No student should feel disadvantaged because of financial barriers. Ambition+ provides support with essential school resources, equipment, learning materials and uniform where required.

Wellbeing Support

Wellbeing is fundamental to both personal development and academic achievement. Through Ambition+, students can access wellbeing programmes, emotional support and opportunities to develop resilience and positive mental health.
